HOW EVO ICL Works
In the EVO ICL procedure, a lens is inserted behind the iris and in front of the lens via a 3mm self-sealing incision. No corneal tissue is removed, and the incision heals without any stitches, and your vision will improve immediately! The whole procedure takes about 20 minutes, and you’ll be back to your regular activities within a few days.
Patients report significant improvement immediately after surgery. Vision after recovery from EVO ICL is often called “ultra-high definition.”

What Can I Expect During the EVO ICL Procedure?
Before having the EVO ICL inserted into your eye, you'll have an appointment with Dr. King. You'll have your eyes tested and measured during this appointment to ensure you're a good candidate. If you are, you'll learn a little about what to expect during the procedure and the recovery process. On the day of your EVO ICL procedure, you'll receive numbing eye drops to dilate your eyes and ensure you won't feel any pain. After the numbing drops spread over the surface of your eye, Dr. King will begin by creating a small incision at the base of your cornea. He will then fold and insert the EVO ICL through this incision.
After inserting the EVO ICL, it can be unfolded and inserted into place. Dr. King will make any necessary adjustments to ensure the EVO ICL is in the proper position in your eye. Once the EVO ICL is in the right place, the procedure is over!

Many patients start experiencing improved vision almost instantly, experiencing a brand new way of seeing the world. Dr. King will prescribe eye drops to help aid in healing, including those to reduce inflammation and prevent infection. Because of the anesthetic eye drops, you cannot drive yourself home. Make sure you have a trusted friend or family member that can safely get you back home. Dr. King will let you know when you're allowed to drive again. Undergoing the EVO ICL procedure only takes about twenty to thirty minutes!
